Alastair and Sasha chose the epic Abbey House as their venue, filled with luxury and elegance this premium hotel and wedding venue lies at the bottom of the south lakes and is surrounded by the beautiful lake district countryside. With 61 beautifully decorated rooms with picturesque views over their manicured gardens, Abbey House is a perfect venue that offers couples the full package in which they can relax and enjoy even during the stressful planning stage of a dream wedding.
Although Alastair & Sasha don’t live near Abbey House Hotel they decided to take a trip to visit the venue and fell in love with it. The whole wedding day was held here and with Sasha having her bridal preparations on one side of the hotel and Alastair on the other side there was no way the two of them were going to see each other until the ceremony.
The ceremony was a beautiful scene, as Alastair and Sasha said their vows and looked into each others eyes you could see the love they have for each other and there was emotions around the room and even a tear from some of the bridesmaids.
The beautiful flowers were provided by POSH flowers Ltd, based in Barrow-in-Furness this florist has it all in their name Professional, Original, Stylish and Helpful. They work using the freshest of flowers and are passionate about creating a bespoke design just for you.
We had intermittent rainy showers in the morning as everyone was getting ready indoors. After the ceremony we were blessed with a sunny spell and headed outside for the canapés reception and formal photos. We then had the opportunity to take Alastair and Sasha off for a romantic walk around the gardens. A perfect scenario to capture some natural shots of the couple as the become husband and wife.
It was great to work with Sarah Louise Photography during the day, her fun personality projected into her work and we connected with our creativity. Sarah always has a smile on her face and loves the work she does, she is passionate about living life to the full and you can see in her portfolio that she likes to portray the fun, laughter and happiness within each couple she works with.
