So Jonathan and Lesley took their love for each other and their love for star wars and produced a magnificent wedding day at the unique and bespoke Ashfield House. This is their story…..
Ashfield house is an award winning, privately owned, exclusive wedding venue in Standish and was the chosen venue for Jonathan and Lesley to have their special day. Having received renovation over recent years this house is now a beautiful canvas for any wedding and the house becomes your home during your stay. With 15 luxury rooms that come with the hire of the venue your guests can enjoy the freedom of a comfortable stay aswell as a fantastic wedding day celebration. For the bride and groom comes the prestige bridal suite including a romantic four-poster bed, juliet balcony and giant jacuzzi bath so you can relax in style and it is the perfect end to you day.
Ashfield House is surrounded by beautiful gardens which are privately owned and gives plenty of backdrops for those intimate couple shots for the photographers and videographers to work with, including the sweeping lawn, lavender path and stone steps. While you are taking time out exploring the grounds as husband and wife the raised terrace is the perfect spot for your family and friends to mingle, eat, drink and party.
I must comment on the ceremony room here at Ashfield house this room is bright, elegant and neutral yet eclectic and quirky all at the same time. With its vaulted ceiling this unique room offers a space that can be transformed and accept any theme or colour scheme but also looks simply stunning with minimal styling.
During the day we worked with the talented photographer Will Fisher, Will captures all aspects of the day in a photojournalistic style which provides spontaneous and creative images that tell a story of your wedding, it was great to work along side a professional that has the same goals as ourselves for the couple, every wedding is different and its great to work with each couple to discover and then portray their personality and love for each other.
The Blossom Room did a fabulous job with the flowers and decorations, stunning bouquets for Lesley and the bridesmaids aswell as delicate decoration in the ceremony room and centre pieces for the wedding breakfast. Carol is a fully qualified floral designer and specialises in weddings and events floristry. The Blossom room provide luxury flowers at the right price without compromising on design and they did beautiful arrangements for Jonathan and Lesley.
The evening was packed with great entertainment including a big surprise for the bride and groom, after the first dance lesley’s uncle got them both seated comfortably infront of the dance floor before introducing a traditional Ukrainian dance group. They provided fabulous costumes and specialised dancing to get everybody clapping and cheering along and it was a really nice touch of some family tradition for lesley. The energy and atmosphere in the room was high and the night of celebrating began. The couple had also arranged for Andy Harrison the magician to entertain their guests after the wedding breakfast and his magic was brilliant, he certainly confused the guests with his amazing skills. There was Pier Fun Casino present during the early evening so the adults could have a little fun gamble or two and the brilliant Agent Smith. These easy-going and talented group of 4 musicians are a high demand wedding band in the north west and they sure now how to get the party started. Renowned for getting the audience involved Agent Smith will get the guests up on the dancefloor and keep them there all night long.
Lesley and Jonathan your wedding day was fabulous, fun, stunning and simply gorgeous from start to finish, it was packed full of love, laughter and entertainment and you two should be proud of the wedding day you created, We loved capturing your wedding story and designing your wedding film with all the happy memories you can keep and cherish forever.
